The Tri Tones perform Classic Surf and Rock Instrumentals and vocals with two guitars and a bass.

.

Depending upon venue, The Tri Tones play all acoustic, electric-acoustic or all electric. The acoustic band is perfect for private parties at homes, rehearsal dinners or other intimate venues so that party goers can converse normally with the music in the background.

As the size of the party or room increases, the band can electrify its sound to match your mood and entertainment.

MORE SAD NEWS.

After well over 70 years TONY'S SUBWAY IN in in Painsville is no more. Although they havn't had live music there in a long time, back in the 60s many a Lake County lad  (Including one of the 'Tones) cut his Rock-N-Roll teeth in what was the hottest music venue in town at the time. People like the Hamilton Brothers, Chessmen, Ian and the Electrons,  Jim Stephens and the VMG and a host of others. If you didn't play Tony's back then you were from nowheresville, baby. We are all going to miss the hot meatball sandwitches and Mary Ann's bread for sure too.

Carl Ecelbarger:Guitarist
Carl's main claim to celebrity is that Ashtabula General Hospital had to be demolished following his birth. He spent his formative years frequenting the pool halls and bowling alleys of Northeast Ohio, before joining the Navy the day before his draft notice arrived. During his service he perfected the arcane technique of inserting at least one curse word into each and every sentence. Upon discharge he settled in Florida, where he stayed one step ahead of law enforcement officials until his grades were high enough to get him accepted into the witness protection program. His trusty Martin is the only thing that he carries whenever he " relocates." Please don't discuss the fact that you've seen him with ANYONE.

Greg Glick: Lead/Rhythm Guitar
I used to play guitar--40 years ago!--but I started a family and needed a real job. Now that the kids are out of the basement, it's time for more fun.

Steve Molk: Bass-Keys-Vocals?

"Da Ol SmokeDog"

Hey,,,Watch it with the old guy jokes, cause here comes ‘da ol’ SmokeDog. Steve has been playing the tunes we do since they were brand new and the stand up bass since before he could stand. His first guitar wasn't electric, It was powered by steam! Smoke also plays keys and the rest of the band swears he sometimes slips and calls it “the Calliope”  Some say he sings too, but then some say he doesn’t. You be the Judge. One thing for sure about him he is definitely the band’s resident wise guy. You can judge that one for yourselves too when you see us live.
